Admiral Dennis Winslow served on board the Archer Observatory as it's chief officer and caretaker. Previously serving on board various vessels, he served as commander of an elite task force and was personally selected by Admiral Robert Lyon to head up the observatory. Initially pleased at the posting, he quickly was disappointed as it was quite a boring task, and wished to return to Earth. He served for a few years until the observatory's destruction at the hands of the Marconian vessel on stardate 52000.
