USS-Chicago

Page history last edited by Chris Stephenson 15 years, 3 months ago

Federation Excelsior Class explorer, Starfleet registry NCC-42283.  Commanded by Captain Nguyen Tu.  Chicago was named for the city of Chicago on Earth.  Chicago was one of four starships that comprised Task Force Gamma-Two under the command of Admiral Lyon in 2372.  During the battle of Semtar III, starship Chicago was destroyed by a Jem'Hadar kamikaze attack which killed most of her crew.  She was commissioned at the San Francisco Fleet Yards orbiting Earth on Stardate 29251.5.  The dedication motto inscribed on her commissioning plaque reads, "It is men who make a city, not walls or ships without crews."

(Author Rob Lyon's note:  I chose the name Chicago I guess because it was one of the major places where I spent my earlier childhood.)
