Sunburst Point is a location on the outskirts of the Alpha Quadrant, where Admiral Robert Lyon first made contact with the Marconian race.  The Archer Observatory was placed there to foreworn Lyon of any further contact.  On Stardate 52000.01, Sunburst Point was breached, and the resulting conflict destroyed the observatory and all aboard.
