Former  Starfleet officer native to planet Vulcan.  Skol is the son of Maximillian security officer Lieutenant Sonak.  During a planetary survey mission to Delvos Morae II in 2325, both Captain Casvan and First Officer Wallace of Federation Excelsior Class starship Maximillian (NCC-14238) were killed in an unprovoked attack by hostile natives, and Lieutenant Commander Skol, being the next senior line officer, assumed command of Maximillian.  Starfleet Commanded awarded permanent command of Maximillian to Skol, as well as a promotion to the rank of Captain, making Skol one of the youngest officers ever to hold the posting of commanding officer of a Federation starship.  Captain Skol commanded Maximillian from 2325 through 2331.  After 2331, Captain Skol retired from Starfleet, taking a civilian assignment to head the agricultural development project on planet Boro Mente IV, pursuing his main course of study in Xenobotany.
