Now in his third incarnation, Rex Vanguard has lived for over 600 years and journeys through Time and Space in his Tardis.  He fled from his homeworld at the beginning of the Time Wars.  Rex was drawn to the planet Earth during his travels and eventually settled in 20^th century America.  Working several times with the FBI, he helped foil the Zygon invasion of Las Vegas, in 1992, and the Sea Devils attempt to destroy the Panama Canal in 1993.  Rex was also present at the battle of Gettysburg and the first Mars Saturn run in 2092.  It is unclear how and when he exactly met the Maximillian, however he was present with the crew on several occasions, including in the mid 1970’s when he helped Critch Starblade and Blobbin save an ancestor of Robert Lyon, and in the events surrounding Order of the Sword.
