            BRIEF COMMENTS:  Six Federation Starship to bear the name.  Currently equipped with a Flag Ops Center for fleet and task force coordination.  Equipped with the improved holo-communications technology, with projectors on Flag Ops, Flag Officers' Quarters, Main Bridge, Flag Ready Room, and Bridge Ready Room.  Currently equipped with Continuum Distortion Propulsion (warp drive) System that does not pollute the space-time continuum at speeds in excess of warp factor Eight.  Sickbay is equipped with the Emergency medical Holographic (EMH) program, which is designed to assist the medical staff, or work independently from them on a short term basis in sickbay during emergency situations.  Equipped with a Bio-Neural gel pack computer network.  All of the traditional circuitry has been replaced with gel packs that contain synthetic neural cells.  They organize information more efficiently, speeding up response time.  Equipped with latest enhanced Errsedorian shielding and torpedoes.  Also equipped is an experimental cloaking device.

            DISPOSITION:  Starship Maximillian is currently undergoing preparations for launch.

In January of 2386, the Luna-Class U.S.S. Maximillian was launched under the command of Captain Nirathi and Commander Jhemma Luna.  Following the loss of the Sovereign-Class, and the subsequent retirement of Admiral T'Kill, it was decided that the Maximillian name would live on in a ship that resembled the classic Nebula-Class slightly.  While the Luna-Class was primarily designed for science and exploration, this particular iteration was heavily outfitted with the latest technologies, both of Federation and Errsedorian origin.  Due to the relaxing of certain regulations, a cloaking device was also installed, though it truly has not yet been tested in an actual stealth mission.  Also see NCC-82016, Looking Ahead,  and Where No Man has Gone Before.
