Federation base (In an alternate quantum reality visited by Worf in 2370, Deep Space Five was the object of a covert surveillance by the Cardassians, who had reprogrammed the Argus Array to observe the station, as well as other Federation installations ["Parallels" TNG]}.  Federation Sovereign Class starship USS Maximillian (NCC-74997) made a layover at Deep Space Five on Stardate 50403.1 to pick up additional personnel and equipment prior to their departure for the Menkare Expanse in 2373.  Among the personnel embarking aboard Maximillian at this time included Senior Chief Petty Officer Critch Starblade, an android transporter technician, Dr. Nathan Alexander, and Lieutenant Commander Kohan, the Klingon tactical officer.  Deep Space Five at this time was commanded by Rear Admiral J. Andrew Motter and was located near Ivor Prime.  The staff of Deep Space Five informed Starfleet Command about the destruction of the Federation colony on Ivor prime by the Borg in 2373.
